Attempting and doing

In all effect, I am and continue to attempt a jump into a grander scale of being. Being of thought; being of spirituality, of creation. Being of the class to be accepted as a peer amongst those whom have taught, and shown us our beginnings. I know this kind of talk all seems to be a bit over the top by most(speaking out loud here for myself). I can only say I have always been this way. Serious intent, driven design, and usually proficient actions are what make great things after all. Not levity, laughter and gregarious behaviors (even though I secretly wish to have the wit of the Marx brothers... well three of the four anyway).
I wanted to take the time and focus on what I believe to be the important issues as they may apply in life as well as creation...

TAKE A BREATH.... the most important moment of any action, is clarity. Selection of that one thought to build, move and/or inspire. Take a breath and make sure the action is exactly what is demanded of the circumstances at hand. Too often than not I see around this world in every day mistakes of myself as well as others the lack of that complete thought. I have found this as the most simplest truth to be overlooked in my mind, in our minds, and for no apparent reason other than pure stupidity. It is and continues to be the lifeblood to laziness spreading it's way around the world. Well maybe not the world, but at least this country.

CHOICE.... in a few words, "stick with it". Once you have chosen the direction, route or path, stick with it! Stand by it! Don't regret if it turns out to be a failure. Learn and move on to how and make things better.

FOCUS.... The apparent item or direction of your choice is in fact the only item at hand. Don't veer off without reason. Meaning the only reason for changing course is when the circumstances demand it. Misjudging a proper choice in the process or simply being cut out of the process altogether by an outside force, these are the undeniable truths in every aspect of life whether it's washing your clothes or making lunch for the kids or hoping for that raise at work in position, respect or pay. There is always reasons to become distracted, disappointed or even depressed. A simple reminder of focusing on whats in front of you may be the most difficult for most anyone I know. Stay on track and know if you do, you will finish and present well in the end.

EXECUTE.... So if the worst (but most important) parts are behind you the ideas, the dreams are finally going to become real! The papers are drawn, the computer has produced all imagery and the tests have ruled out potential mistakes (educated one's at least). The FUN is now. Keeping in mind all you have done to get here. Holding true those methods along the way. When needed, take a breath. Freely revisit the choices you've made, but remain focused and proper execution will happen. It's funny how as we are young the impatient methods we all used just seemed to make us all so angry. Having that constant reminder of "slow down!" and "what were you thinking?" as our parents struggled with our adolescent, overpowered attitudes. I wish we could instill the behavior amongst out youth of patience to help speed things up... Anyhow back to the real world for now with it's imperfect and exciting ways.

UNDERSTANDING.... This is by far the most difficult thing for the mind of a human being to withstand. Understanding of any possible outcome. Years of trial brought to failure. This is a horrible concept, but still we learn. Still we grow. It may be after a severe bout of depression or a "damn it all to hell" attitude while jumping from a plane at 30,000 ft, yet growth is inevitable. This is by far the worst or most difficult. I find a full understanding of one's capability or achievements are sometimes dangerous or even detrimental at times. It is important to not misunderstand the differences between modesty and ambition, abjection and depression, achievement and success. Thorough contemplation is deserving of all our actions. Good and bad ones, thoughtful and thoughtless times. Understanding your actions fully will depict your recycling. In other words... knowing what you've done is the next step to what you will do.

For now it is my recycle time...
